Jagriti Arts Initiative (Prop. GMB Films (P) Ltd) in association and patronage with The Bahrain Arts Society organized a series of events in Bahrain from 30th January to 5th February, 2007.

In all, 14 artists have participated in the event - 10 emerging artists from India and 4 artists from Bahrain. The artists spent a lot of time working with each other, absorbing local culture and exchanging ideas about their style of work etc. It was an exciting experience for all concerned and such cultural exchange improves the ties between the two countries.

The event was actively supported by His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and the Indian Ambassdor to Bahrain, His Excellency Mr. Balkrishna Shetty. Mrs. Heather Wilson, First Lady, the British Deputy High Commission - Eastern India was Advisor to the event.

On 30th and 31st January, 2007 the artists worked together at The Bahrain Arts School . Prior to this workshop the Indian Artists had an opportunity to visit the important places and sites in Bahrain.. They soaked up the Bahraini influences which aptly reflected in their creations. The Indian and the Bahraini artists exchanged their views freely and got inspired with each other. It was truly an 'Artistic Cauldron'
