Jagriti Art Initiative was a co-sponsor to the Darjeeling Artfare 2008 held at 24th to 26th May, 2008 at Gymkhana Club in Darjeeling. The event covered Workshops on Visual Art, Sculptures, Digital Photography, Creative Writing, Theatre, Dance, Vocal/Music, Jewelry Design etc., besides screening of films.
This 3-day symposium helped local students, artists and craftsmen display their talents and also gain from the expert advices given by visiting faculties and specialists from all over the country.
Messrs Gaurang Films (sister concern of Jagriti Art) also arranged screening of three of their children films, viz. Safed Haathi , Aaj Ka Robinhood and Anokha Moti all directed the prestigious Dada Phalke Award winner, Tapan Sinha.
The programme was attended by Mr Joydip Ghosh on behalf of Jagriti Art Initiative who also gave away the prizes on this occasion.
Jagriti Art is committed to promote and encourage budding talent in the art arena.
