Jgariti Art Initiative donated Rs.100,000/- (Rs.One lakh only) to St. Xaviers College to start a corpus to meet the educational needs of the less privileged and meritorious students. The cheque was handed to Fr. PC Mathew, SJ (Principal, St. Xaviers College) by the Mayor Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharyya besides First Lady of US Consulate, Mrs. Kathleen Jardine and well known writer, Ms. Taslima Nasrin, in presence of an august gathering of eminent citizens of this city and old students.
