Jagriti Art Initiative took part in 'Art Fair India 2007' Art in Action organized by Hindustan Times and Habiart Foundation, New Delhi, at Parish Hall St. Paul's Cathedral, Kolkata, from 16th to 18th February, 2007.
The event was sponsored by Hutch, National Insurance Co., Ltd., Red FM 93.5, and Karukrit. The other participants included Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal,, Aakriti Art Gallery, Calcutta Sculptors, Forum 91, Glass Studio, Genesis Art Gallery, Goti, Journey, Faculty of Visual Arts, Rabindra Bharati University, Young Bengal and K. Academy of Fine Arts, Mumbai.
It was a congregation of art and sculptures work from all over India in every possible size and media. The sculptures by Tapas Sarkar, Meera Mukherjee and Banarasi Khan besides class works by Tara Chandra attracted a lot of interest. Around 300 artists participated in Art Fair India 2007.
Known painters by Bijon Choudhury, Dhiraj Choudhury, etc. visited Jagriti Art stall and appreciated our display besides a stream of art lovers from Kolkata.
