Jagriti Art Initiative organised a rendezvous in
Thailand between 16th 20th September, 2007.The artists visited the cities of Pattaya and Bangkok .
In all,
12 artists have participated in the event 06 artists from Shanitiniketan and 06 artists from in and around Kolkata. The artists spent quality time interacting with each other, absorbing local culture and exchanging ideas about their style of work etc. They also indulged in new activities like diving in submarine 150 ft below the sea to watch coral and aquatic life besides the regular water sports activities. A taste of Thai boxing mixed with elephants playing football were certainly sights worth watching not to forget the pulsating night life of Pattaya. The opulent Palaces and Buddha statues in Bangkok are some of the other sights which could not have been missed.
In all, it was a congregation of like minded artists who returned richer in their experience and definitely gained after deliberations and quality time with each other.
